Breeding work is carried out in cooperation with the breeding farms of the region and is aimed at improving the quality of selection of the best animals for further breeding.

“Our team has a serious and difficult job ahead which will allow us to preserve and improve the most significant domestic breeds, such as the Kostroma,” said Ksenia Sabetova, the head of laboratory of genetics and DNA technologies. "Improving breeding programs will have a positive effect on the quality of products obtained from animals in our region, which will significantly increase the competitiveness of products of the Kostroma brand and will provide the population with high-quality products of their own production."
