Costa Rica Agrees to Semen and Embryo Imports

BRAZIL – Brazil has received the official go ahead to export bovine semen and embryos from the Department of Animal Health in Cost Rica.

Cost Rica has expressed interest in Brazilian genetic imports for a long time, the Brazilian ministry of agriculture announced.

Both countries are set to benefit from the approval. Brazilian minister of agriculture, livestock and supply Antonio Andrade revealed the Girolando breed is the most sought after.

"We are very happy with this protocol and the finalization of these negotiations,” said Cost Rica minister, German Rojas. “ “Cost Rica appreciates the attention and kindness of Minister Antonio Andrade.”
