Tunisia Reports Five Bluetongue Outbreaks
TUNISIA - The country's veterinary authorities have reported five new outbreaks of Bluetongue in the country.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received an immediate notification from Tunisian veterinary authorties on 17 December.
According to the report sent, all five outbreaks took place in the city of Sidi Bouzid.
The first outbreak occured on 5 December at a farm in Elmakarem. Animals affected were cattle, sheep and goats. The situation, was immediately been resolved. The second and third outbreaks occured in Saddaguia on 6 and 8 December. In the second case, only sheep were infected.
On 8 December, another outbreak of Bluetongue occured at a farm in Om Laadham. The outbreak has not yet been resolved. This outbreak has occured in the sheep herds.
Another outbreak reported was on 6 December, again in Om Laadham, in cattle and sheep. The issue has already been resolved.
