The popular conference welcomed eighty- five thousand dairy farmers and professionals. During the five-day exhibition Nutriad fully engaged with industry contacts, highlighted new and existing products and specifically promoted its range of dairy specific solutions.

The Nutriad US team at the World Dairy Expo ranged from representatives from Belize and Mexico to the Nutriad specialists across the USA and Canada. Supporting dairy customers around the world and especially locally was the principal focus of Nutriad’s efforts at this year’s event.

A touchpoint for innovations, the Nutriad booth this year featured a presentation of NutriTrace®, a new technology featuring organic trace minerals designed for a variety of applications in dairy feeding systems. NutriTrace® consists of Zn, Cu and Mn, complexed with various nitrogenous compounds and provides excellent stability and bioavailability characteristics. Several interested farmers and nutritionists stopped by to visit with Nutriad nutrition experts to discuss the new offering.

Nutriad highlighted its range of dairy portfolio products centered around digestive performance, showcasing products like Ben-A-Gest®, Apex® for calves and transition cows and Ultramix Pro for replacements fed milk replacers.

According to Cathy Morris, Western Regional Sales Manager for Nutriad: “The expo this year gave us insight into what dairymen are focusing on given the last 18 months of low milk prices. Big concerns currently range from addressing reproductive issues and heat stress to milk fat depression. Fortunately, Nutriad is well equipped to support dairymen with programs and products that can support milk and fat production during times of low prices and high temperatures.”

Nutriad also was one of 10 sponsors of a major presentation by the American Dairy Coalition (ADC) at the Expo concerning an Ag Guest Worker Program as a major part of Immigration Reform. Legislation supported by various farm groups is coalescing around ADC’s efforts to enable dairy farmers to count on a secure dairy labor supply. Nutriad has supported this effort for over three years and has been at the forefront of efforts to lobby congress.

Stated Keith Klanderman, President of Nutriad USA: “Supporting our customers goes beyond providing nutrition and health expertise and allows access to broad based industry support through organizations like ADC. The long-term viability of the industry demands we pay attention to emerging trends whether they are nutritionally focused or have operational ramifications.”
