A total of 910 enterprises are set to receive almost 3 billion grivna in credit facilities while many farmers are set to benefit from 15.3 million grivna worth of livestock preservation grants.

The region of Mykolaiv will receive 368.3 million, Dnipropetrovsk 317.9 million, Kiev 231.7 million and Kharkiv 219.3 million grivna.

Minister for Agriculture, Mykola Prysiazhniuk revealed that farmers are attracted to funding schemes as spring work begins.

This is also seen in the cattle industry as 30,000 farmers have applied for preservation grants for 40,000 head of cattle.

The head office has confirmed that as of March 1, over 540,000 grivna worth of cattle slaughter grants have also been issued.

Further monetary support for farmers has come in the form of subsidies for milking machines.
