Both outbreaks occurred in the Caprivi region.

Both outbreaks were a result of illegal movement of cattle from Masikili area. Booster vaccination of cattle within a 40km radius of the primary outbreak is almost complete. Clinical surveillance of all cattle within the Caprivi region is continuing. Movement restrictions remain in force.
