Indonesia to allow beef imports from Brazil or Argentina
The Indonesian government is removing certain import restrictions to shore up its food supply as the coronavirus pandemic continues.According to Reuters, Suhanto, Indonesia’s Trade Ministry director general of domestic trade told parliament that it issued permits to import 20,000 tonnes of beef from Brazil or Argentina.
He said state companies PT Berdikari and PR Perdagangan Indonesia have been appointed to carry out the imports.
