Neem and pine scented urine solutions are part of a broader range of cow-based urine products available on the cleaning market.

Initially a pilot project, the method will be rolled out nationally if successful.

The idea was first put forth by the Indian Women and Child Development Minister and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi in March 2015.

He said there was no harm in using cow urine called Gaunyle instead of typical phenyl disinfectants in government offices in New Delhi.

Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital will be the first to use the product.

To make this proposal workable, the state recently got the first cow urine refinery at Jalore that was inaugurated by the Rajasthan medical and health minister, Rajendra Rathore.

The world’s first cow urine cleaning product is located at Pathmeda village near Sanchore town is operated by Parthvimeda Gau Pharma Private Limited, a foundation known for its 250-acre Gopal Govardhan Gaushala (cow shelter or sanctuary for cows, calves and oxen) at the village.

The company manufactures and markets a large range of cow milk and urine based products. The plant has come up with an investment of $700,000 (Rs 4 crore) will prepare cow-urine extract for use in the formulation of various products.
