Foot and Mouth Outbreak in Angola

ANGOLA - There has been an outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease in cattle in Angola.

Five animals out of a pen of 70 cattle were found with signs and lesions consistent with foot and mouth disease during routine surveillance in a population of 2,650 village animals.

The village is located in an area of extensive seasonal migration along the border with the Republic of Namibia.

The outbreak occurred in the province of Cuando Cubango.
