OIE Reports More FMD in Tibet

CHINA - The Chinese veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of foot and mouth disease affecting cattle populations in Lhasa, Tibet.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 1 on Friday, 3 May.

Out of 527 suscpetible animals, 145 cases were reported. All 527 animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.
