According to the Angola Press Agency, Isaac dos Anjos put out the appeal while addressing residents of Camana sector, Capunda-Cavilongo locality, in Chibia district, during the visit by the Secretary of State of Waters, Luís Filipe da Silva, to the region, where he inaugurated the water abstraction and supply system.

"There is a need for chieftains to encourage the population to grow grass for cattle feeding, so as to allow children to attend classes, since they are spending a lot of time in pasture," the agency reports the governor saying.

Luís da Silva ended his three-day visit to the region on Sunday after having visited the districts of Chibia, Humpata and Lubango, where he learnt of the progress of the "Water for All" programme.
