Argentina Changes FMD Vaccination Programme

ARGENTINA - The Argentine food safety and animal health authority, Senasa, is to change it foot and mouth disease vaccination plan for 2010.

The authority says that all bulls and cows will be vaccinated against the disease once a year from 2010.

Other smaller animals and other cattle will still be vaccinated twice a year.

The authority says it will maintain the country's status of being free from Foot and Mouth Disease with vaccination having seen 16 vaccination programmes in the country since 2001.
