Transport of cattle to Kerala banned

INDIA - Transport of cattle, sheep and pigs to Kerala has been banned till November 11.

In a release here, Collector Neeraj Mittal said that on October 28, there were reports that trucks ferrying milk and dairy products and cattle were being stopped at Walayar. After officials reported anthrax in the cattle from Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri, Kerala imposed a ban on cattle and dairy products. Now, the issue had been solved.
